I am an artist from Costa Rica, I work as freelance illustrator and concept artist since 2018. I’ve worked on several projects, from commissioned artworks to boardgames and video games.

As almost every artist, I started drawing when I was a kid, and I guess I never stopped. I leaned Photoshop and other digital tools at 16. I studied there to get a degree in Graphic Design, but because of many changes in my life, and new professional opportunities, I didn’t complete it. Developing my art skills has always been my main focus, so I had the opportunity to learn all the art fundamentals for drawing, composition, color and design during my time in the art school, and I’ve been learning many new and exciting things in my career ever since. As an artist, you truly never stop learning.

I have leveraged knowledge in Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and basic knowledge of 3D tools like Blender and 3D Studio Max, which I often apply to my digital painting process. I have experience working with art directors and art leads, working together other amazing artists as part of a dedicated art team. Along with my digital art skills, I really value and enjoy traditional art, I still do sketches with paper and pencil, and paintings with oils and acrylics.

It is clear that some of my influences are Magic the Gathering and D&D artworks, but I also find inspiration on classical art, films, books, and of course video games.

I’m married to a beautiful and supportive wife and I’m also a dad of two wonderful girls. I like rock music (play guitar as a hobby) I like to cook and love to eat, love watch movies both at home and in theaters and always try to enjoy simple things. I constantly try my best to improve my art.
